Hi! My name is Harper, and I’m currently a senior at Georgia State University studying Biomedical Science and Enterprise with a minor in Psychology. In the past, I’ve served as a Resident Assistant, where I was responsible for the well-being and daily support of over 50 students, and I’ve also mentored younger Girl Scouts as a Girl Scout Ambassador in high school. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During high school, I regularly babysat for two neighboring families. In one household, I cared for a kindergartener, and in the other, I looked after two sisters in first and second grade. I was responsible for after-school routines, preparing snacks, helping with homework, and engaging them in creative play. These early experiences taught me patience, adaptability, and how to build trust with both children and parents.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I personally like to get my 10k steps in each day, so I enjoy taking kids outside to play and run around. I like activities that let kids use their imagination and feel free to express themselves. I’m also big on finding ways to make learning fun—things like puzzles, memory games, or practicing letters and numbers through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a relationship of trust with both the parents and the kids. Since I’ll be spending a lot of time with their children, parents need to feel confident that I’ll follow their instructions, respect their home, and support their routines. At the same time, the kids need to feel safe and comfortable with me. I want them to see me as someone they can rely on, talk to, and have fun with. When that trust is there, everything else falls into place.
