Hello my name is Haven! I am 19 years old and have many young children in my life, I also work with special needs students and I’m in school at Pitt state majoring in unified elementary education (special education students). I am a student athlete and available on most weekends, when I’m not playing sports I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, fishing, playing with my dogs and going to the lake, and doing arts in crafts like bedazzling and embroidery! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher assistant in the special needs classroom in high-school, and I also volunteered in elementary schools in Gardner.
My position as a “helper” in highschool, I managed multiple students at a time, meal prepped for those with allergies, and also took on large groups of students on feild trips like job Olympics and “Olathe inclusion day”

Swimming, board games, walks, crafts and more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The kids!! The kids come first in everything, it’s hard to balance things, and also be everywhere all the time, between work, kids sports, kids activities, their friends, your friends, family etc. it’s hard to keep up and be everywhere at once! Nannies help with balance, and take a couple worries off of parents shoulders, light cleaning, meal prep, and a ride to soccer practice can go a long way!

My experience with special needs children...

I work with special needs students inside and out side of school. In school we have an open block that is 2hrs everyday called tops, (teens offering peer support). We do job Olympics, life skills and more. Outside of school we do special Olympics ( any sports that students and friends would like to do) I help build programs for special needs students. I have a few family members with special needs that very from low functioning to high functioning, I have worked and grown with kids of all kinds!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I was trying to teach one of the littles I watched how to jump into the pool, he couldn’t quite get the concept of jumping after squatting down, and he belly flopped every time (and still does to this day)!
