No child should have a label. Therefore, I have worked with children who have exceptional gifts like my nephew Seth, who's mind runs faster than anyone I know, can take a computer apart, reassemble it and solve puzzles quicker than myself, (Autism),a boy named Charlie who liked to hear instead of see and could tell me what animal was near us before I ever noticed. (Blind) A little girl named Bella who loved to play drums while being a princess and telling her royal subjects what it is like on the moon without anyone interrupting her. (ADHD)
The most important part about being a nanny...
Was when Zoey looked at her father and said, "Dad, if you had a bad day, just sing a little song and the pain will go away." He asked her where she learned that, and with a big smile, she said, " I fell off my bike and Ms.Lacey started singing "Do you wanna build a snowman" and asked me to sing along. Before I knew it, all my pain was gone! (Age 9)
