I’m Haydee an experienced Spanish/English speaking nanny. I am a mom of 2 girls a teenager and an almost 4 yr old. Born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
I am very interested in getting in contact with you about a potential nanny position.
I have been administering the Williamsburg Brooklyn Parents and Nannies facebook group since August of 2017 and I have many years of nannying and teaching experience.
I have worked for a few families in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. I have also worked in a school setting as a teacher for infants and toddlers for 4.5 yrs at a private school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing with children. Reading is fundamental and children love books so I love to read to them. Sensory play is big especially in the toddler world so that’s another benefit they’d get out of me. I’m an artsy and crafty nanny so allowing the child to explore and get messy is ideal and fine with me. Bath time, nap time, outdoor time you name it I do it! Even cleaning up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I know what it feels like having to be there for families who need someone to be there for their child. As a mom of two girls myself, I understand it takes a village to raise children. Without me as part of their village how will families work? I come into the picture and take that weight off the families shoulders by caring for their child the best way I know how.. patience, love and especially using my common sense. I’m a mom figure for children when their mom/dad cannot care for them at the time due to work or even needing a time for themselves to go out on a date. I think the date night hours work for me because I have back up myself at home after 5pm therefore that’s a manageable time for me to be there for families.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with kids on the spectrum/autism as well as children with asthma and w/ food allergies requiting an epi pen and their inhaler.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love the parents who have shown me appreciation for the job I do with their children. Parents put their trust in me and I care for children as if they were my own or how I would love for someone else to care for my own daughters. Seeing the family eye to eye is very important and if I feel respected and shown appreciation it makes my job 100% more desirable and luckily I have had many parents be amazing people towards me.
