More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As the Recreation Therapy Intern at Lurie Children's Hospital, I facilitate 3 RT groups per day for patients ages 4-17 years old. Patients in the unit have diagnoses of mental health and/or behavioral disorders. Through this experience, I have been trained in Comprehensive Crisis Management to safely handle situations where children may become escalated and aggressive.
Additionally,
I completed a preschool practicum where I was paired with a four year old boy, and I got to be his teacher for a semester! I helped him with preschool level curriculum, manners, routines, and much more. I absolutely loved the experience :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking the time to see what the child truly enjoys and then helping them expand that interest!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Ensuring that the parents feel like their children are safe while they are under my care, and that the children feel safe as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked with individuals with disabilities since I was in High School and these experiences are what led me to my career path! At Lurie Children's, I often work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I've been able to expand my knowledge of communication techniques, redirection, and de-escalation through this experience.
This past summer, I was able to spend a week at an adaptive camp, providing 24/7 one to one care for my camper who had Autism Spectrum Disorder. This was a great experience where I was able to gain necessary skills for direct supervision of people with disabilities. I want to go back!

Taking kids that I was a summer nanny for to Lou Malnatis (my favorite) in a Chicago for an end of summer Pizza party!

Babysitter Available in Arlington Heights, IL: Anastasiia P.
I love children, and the feeling is mutual. I first started looking after other people's children when I was just five years old. I easily connect with kids and know how to care for children of all ages—from newborns to older ones. I have an eight-year-old daughter of my own and extensive childcare experience; I’ve been doing this since I was five. I enjoy looking after children, and I am a responsible and attentive person.
Full-Time Nanny Available in Arlington Heights, IL: Kim F.
Unlike most people my age, I genuinely enjoy being around children. I’m quite the high-energy person, with very strong maternal instincts (although, I don’t have children). My first job was at a large trampoline park, which made me responsible for watching groups of over 20+ kids at a time. I’ve learned the gentleness and care that is required when interacting with kids, and it has always been very rewarding for me as a person. I’ve been told that I would be an amazing elementary school teacher, though I haven’t pursued a college education yet. I like to consider myself proficient in developing connections with not only the children, but trust within their parents as well.
