A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Hayley. I have been babysitting for the last 11 years and counting, nannying for the last 5 years and counting. I have had a lot of experience with all age ranges, and with different needs.
I worked with one family for 9 years, and each child had a special need, so I am very comfortable with learning how to care for each child individually and learning what is best!
I also worked at a professional child care facility for almost a year where I took care of many kids and learned so much more for everyone I was around.
I love to be with kids, it brings me joy to be able to give someone else’s child love while they are away and being a friend when needed for a child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me, is to be able to be another safe person for a child. Someone who not only they know and feel they can trust, but that their parent(s) can trust.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with 4 children with all different kinds of special needs between the four of them. Each with a different need: one suffering from severe anxiety, another from Aspergers, another with ADHD, and one who had a variety of personal needs that were special. It wasn’t always easy, but it made learning each of those kids so much more special to me. For 9 years they were the kids I spent every waking minute of my spare time with, so I know how to learn children differently from siblings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when the oldest child i’ve ever taken care of asked me what my favorite memory of middle school was, and when I replied with, “I don’t remember much, but I do remember sleeping in math class once and being yelled at,” and he laughed the hardest I had ever seen him laugh. He thought it was so funny that that was all I remembered from 3 years of schooling.
