Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started in Girl Scouts as a counselor to middle schoolers, have babysat infants up to middle schoolers and up to 6 at a time. I have worked in school setting with up to 8 infants at a 1:4 ratio, 10 toddlers at a 1:5 ratio, 16 pre-k at a 1:8 ratio, 20 pre-k at 1:10 ratio, and 25 Kindergarteners. I worked for the YMCA with teenagers as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy getting creative and messy and also orderly, instructional learning. I appreciate repetition but can go with flow and be spontaneous with the best of them. Books, songs, blocks, dolls, cars, etc.
My experience with special needs children...
No special training. Have taught and used accommodations for children with ADHD, and Autism - level 2 and partly verbal.
