A little bit about me

I have 8 years of childcare experience consisting of babysitting, nannying, and toddler & preschool teaching. I also have experience with Autism and various special needs and am always excited to learn more.

I passionately believe in the power of a nurturing environment while also encouraging children to learn from their natural world! I'm CPR/First Aid/AED certified and am regularly obtaining childcare-related certifications to increase my level of care.

I can offer an enriching environment for all ages and am comfortable creating and/or implementing lesson plans and learning activities for various age groups to encourage development and reaching milestones. I deeply value a work environment with space for adventuring from walks around the block to trips to museums and even beaches! Fun things are always great, but I also enjoy trips to the grocery store to help you out and for real-world experiences!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began as a school year babysitter for the same family in high school- even traveling to D.C , NYC, and Pennsylvania with them!

Those same years, I was a summer nanny for another family and traveled with them to Cape Cod and NYC!

After graduating high school, I began working as a toddler teacher in a preschool setting for about 2.5 years, where I then transitioned to preschool for six months before moving to Niagara Falls. Now, I continue to work as a nanny for a three year old that I've been with since July 2023, and in January started a Nanny Share with their neighbor, who is 2.5! Both girls moved on to preschool and I now am a teachers assistant for students with special needs!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy painting, crafts, walks, playground, science museum, aquarium, and I recently discovered the Tifft Nature Preserve! I also love being around water and am always looking for new related activities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making a difference every day and helping kiddos see the world for the beauty that it truly is and not the bad parts that jump out.

My experience with special needs children...

I currently work weekday evenings with a six year old autistic boy and have had minor experience in previous years!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Honestly, my favorite moment is probably the first time a child ran to me when they were scared. I value creating safe environments that I lacked as a child and that was a full circle, core memory, moment for me as I realized I am a safe adult for them.
