"It was truly a pleasure working with Miss Heidi! She was very personable, energetic, and genuinely engaged with our kids 100% of the time, and had a very warm hearted disposition. She always had positive, vibrant energy and went above and beyond in caring for my son and daughter. My children absolutely loved her and were always happy to be with her. Heidi spent two years working with my husband and I, providing full time weekday care to our 2 young preschool-aged children at the time who were 1 and a half and 4 years old. Heidi's dance and foreign language background was an added asset of hers that we really appreciated as well as her flexibility and good time management skills. Any family would be lucky to have her. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

🌸Live-in position for an 11 month old & 7 year old girl, long-term, live-out position for 8 month old and 3 yr old which included preschool preparatory work with the toddler, mentoring children & teens from underprivileged backgrounds, teaching classical ballet & creative movement, teaching private English and private French lessons.🌸

Please note:
My hourly rate starts at $15-20/hr depending on each individual family.
This is based on my professional childcare credentials and qualifications including my extensive teaching experience and background working in education and social services with signficant experience working with a broad sprectrum of children, including children on the spectrum, academically gifted children, and those with challenges.
☆In addition to providing basic childcare, I also offer one and one academic tutoring for older children and teens ages 7 and up. All subjects, with my specialty being in language arts and also history, geography, and writing. Inquire within for rates & details.☆

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with down syndrome, autism, and learning difficulties before. I also know basic American sign language and cared for a deaf child before. I've also cared for children with developmental delays.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The little boy (2 years old) I was caring for started to have a meltdown when his mom came home, and nothing seemed to calm him down so I just talked real softly to him and told him it was going to be okay, and I just rubbed his back, and he immediately stopped crying. His mom walked back into the room and was so surprised and shocked. She said she had never been able to calm him down before so quickly and that I had a natural gift with children. She gave me a glowing recommendation and invited me to stay for dinner. It was one of my proudest nanny moments.🤗
