The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I helped a toddler take their first steps. We had been working on building their confidence to stand and balance for weeks, using playful encouragement and lots of cheering. One afternoon, while we were playing their favorite game with colorful stacking blocks, they suddenly stood up, wobbled a little, and took their first few steps toward me with the biggest smile on their face.
The joy and pride in their expression were priceless, and the parents were thrilled when I shared the news with them later. Moments like that—watching a child achieve something new and knowing you played a part in supporting them—are truly unforgettable.
