More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Babysitting is something I’m truly passionate about. I have experience volunteering with children who have special needs, which has strengthened my ability to provide patient, compassionate, and personalized care. I always aim to create a positive, safe, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and happy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

🌞 Outdoor Activities:
• Going for walks or park adventures
• Playing tag, hide-and-seek, or ball games
• Visiting playgrounds or splash pads
• Having picnics and reading stories outside
• Doing nature scavenger hunts or collecting leaves and rocks
• Riding bikes or scooters (with supervision, of course!)
• Drawing with sidewalk chalk or blowing bubbles.

🏡 Indoor Activities:
• Arts and crafts (painting, drawing, or making DIY projects)
• Reading books together or storytime
• Building forts or playing with blocks
• Doing puzzles or educational games
• Baking simple snacks or decorating cupcakes
• Singing, dancing, or having mini “talent shows”
• Helping with homework or practicing reading and writing

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me as a nanny is making kids feel safe, happy, and understood. I want them to feel comfortable being themselves and know that they’re cared for with love and respect.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for children with different special needs, such as autism, ADHD, and speech or developmental delays. Every child is unique, and I always take the time to understand their personality, needs, and what makes them feel comfortable. I love creating a calm, supportive space where they can learn, have fun, and just be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most memorable moments as a nanny was when the little girl I cared for drew a picture of us holding hands and said, “You’re my best friend.” It melted my heart and reminded me how special the bond between a nanny and a child can be.

Holly K. - Seeking Work in St. Petersburg

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in St. Petersburg, FL: Holly K.

My career in child care actually started growing up in a house of two educators. Both of my parents are teachers. My dad was also a coach, I became the designated caregiver for all the families' children at every sporting event. That is truly where my love for helping others began. My mom specializes in special needs education. Through her, I was fortunate to be introduced to families who needed extra, specialized support. Caring for those children became my very first job and gave me foundational skills in patience, adaptability, and inclusive care. Since then, I’ve worked as a flight attendant, which really elevated my professional childcare skills. In that role, I underwent rigorous training to earn my CPR and First Aid certifications, perfected safe meal preparation, and mastered the art of managing high-stress situations calmly. Making sure your children are completely safe, engaged, and supported would be my number one priority.

Hi! I’m Sammy - a caring, reliable, and fun nanny here to make life easier for you and your family.
