I have a long history of working with children on a personal level, which includes 10 years of full-time and part-time nannying experience, with early childhood teaching experience in a Waldorf nature setting.
I specialize in honoring kids' individual personalities, encouraging them to go through life authentically and in a way that feels natural for them, while also helping them meet standards their parents and teachers may have set for them.
I'm a pretty clean person and will always leave spaces looking tidy. I feel comfortable in the kitchen, helping with schoolwork, and I have my own car. I've worked with a spectrum of ages ranging from 2 months old to 13 years old and have extensive experience with the various developmental stages of children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Teaching at a Waldorf nature school really rounded out my many years of Nanny experience. I learned how to relate to and model for young children in new ways, and that someone can have the biggest positive impact on a child by simply being an awesome person, taking care of themselves, and staying focused on play.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Exploring in nature, playing at playgrounds, cooking and baking together, having dance parties, musical enrichment (I have a classical music background and have taught piano and drum lessons in the past), and of course: following the lead of the child! I love supporting their curiosity, and acting as a safe container for them to try new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Modeling kindness, authenticity, bravery, resilience, self care, etc.
Children notice everything we do, so I've learned that simply being an individual worthy of being imitated can inspire the children to develop integrity and many other positive attributes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While I was nannying in NYC many years ago, I ran into my 10 year old's idol on the subway while off duty (she's a famous fashion designer). I told her about how much her work meant to him, and it lead to planning a day where the 3 of us got lunch, walked around the MET, and picked out some fabrics for him (he was already making his own clothes). His parents were thrilled.
Being able to help a young aspiring fashion designer learn from and meet his favorite fashion designer will always be a unique and special memory!
