Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m a creative, nurturing, and dependable person with a background in childcare, art, and household management. I owned and operated Creative Castle Art School for Children in Fairfield, where I developed and taught hands-on art and cooking classes for kids ages 18 months to 11 years. Later, I worked as a preschool teacher, helping children learn and grow through play and creativity.

For the past five years, I’ve supported a family as their Household Manager and Personal Assistant, providing care and structure for individuals with disabilities while managing daily routines, scheduling, errands, meals, and pet care.

The most important part of being a nanny, for me, is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel supported, understood, and free to be themselves. I believe kids thrive when they feel truly seen and cared for, so I focus on building trust, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them grow with confidence. Whether through creative activities, daily routines, or simple moments of connection, my priority is always to provide a positive, stable presence in their lives.

My experience with special needs children...

I had several special needs children in my pre-school classes. I also created a special needs class at my art and cooking school. In my most recent positions I have worked with special needs young adults.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had one little boy that wanted to be referred to as vacuum instead of his actual name. I recently saw his mom. He is now 23 years old and we had a great giggle about his wish to be called vacuum. He is a brilliant adult now working on his PhD. She thanked me for allowing him to be vacuum for that short period in his life.
