I’ve yet to work directly with children. I do occasionally watch or have sleepovers with my nieces! They are ages 4, 2, and 1 month!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love crafts! And trust me I can get creative, no matter the age I’m sure we could find something safe and fun! Being outdoors, there’s so much to explore! I would love to be able to find crafty activities that are rooted in nature. I’m adaptable and like trying new things, so I’m definitely open to the kiddos ideas too!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is making the kids feel heard, seen, safe, and happy! Being a nanny isn’t just taking care of them, it’s so much more! It’s getting to know them, wanting good things for them, and helping make those things safely happen.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not cared for any children with special needs. Although I have helped caring for ill relatives. I’m absolutely open to learning!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories watching my 4 year old niece was when we went out collecting stones in the creek. She was losing interest after most of the rocks looked dull, I showed her how to wash them. Once she saw how the stones she found had such pretty vivid colors, I could see how proud she was of herself. The biggest smile came across her face accompanied by the cutest giggle. That’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.
