A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Hope! I am a sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Political Science and History. I have a couple years of child care under my belt, as I was a counselor for 12 kids ages 8-16 at a horse summer camp. My duty as a counselor was to make sure that the kids are safe and having fun. My favorite part about working with kids is seeing the smile on their face when they have accomplished something. It makes me feel happy and put s smile on my face as well. There many different groups of kids every week, so I know how to adjust activities to what they want, but also keeping the structure of the camp as it is. I have gained and learned through this position and am excited to keep growing. Other than being a student, I spend time at the barn with my horse, read, and I love to play tennis. I am an advocate of spending time outdoors and being active. I am available on weekends as well as some evenings during the week. I am very much excited to meet you and to spend time with your kids!
