I have volunteered with my school’s Special Olympics where I helped support children throughout activities, encouraged participation, and made sure they felt included and had fun. I also occasionally care for my friend’s two-year-old daughter. Spending time her has taught me the importance of being fully engaged in the activities kids love, as well as strengthening my patience and kindness towards children. It’s important to me that children feel safe and comfortable with me. Whether we’re playing, reading, relaxing, or being silly, I enjoy helping kids learn, laugh, and have fun!
