More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Mostly just my 3 younger siblings. Although I have an ample amount of young cousins as well, along with various kids around my old neighborhood that I would tend to and watch :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything and everything the kids want to do and come up with. I love make believe, I love imaginative games, I love spending time outdoors and reading stories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure that the kids are not just safe, but that they have fun as well.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 2 cousins with special needs. One has moderate-severe autisum and the other has Turner's syndrome. I have helped with them on occasion and I actually have a mild case of autism myself. I am high functioning, so most people can't detect it. It does help me to be able to care for and know what to do in situations where a child has special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I sing a little bit. I sang the song You Are My Sunshine to a 2 year old boy I watched. Every time he saw me after that he would say "Sunshine song. Sing the sunshine song." :)
