Hi! I’m Imajica (Majic) 😊 I’m a career nanny with 10+ years of experience caring for kiddos from newborns to school age. I follow a Montessori(ish), gentle/respectful approach focused on creating a safe, fun, and loving environment where kids can grow, explore, and thrive.

I studied psychology at UBC 🧠 with a focus on family and child development, and I’m certified in Food Safe, Infant & Child First Aid, and CPR ⛑️

I’m passionate about emotional intelligence 💛, helping kids understand their feelings, setting kind and clear boundaries, getting outside for daily adventures 🌿, and making everyday moments meaningful (especially when baking is involved 🍪)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Daily adventures are a must with me! 🌿 I love getting out for park hangs, playdates, community outings, play cafés, and anything that gives little ones a chance to explore, move, and connect.

I’m also big on creativity at home 🎨 Whether we’re crafting, baking yummy treats 🍪 or diving into imaginative play, I love turning everyday moments into something magical and fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I absolutely love the smiles I get when I walk in each morning, the hugs at the end of the day, and all the little adventures we have in between ☀️

Watching little ones grow, learn, and experience the world for the first time is the best part of what I do. For me, the most important thing is showing up as the best version of myself so your kiddos feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away 💛

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the privilege of supporting kiddos with diverse needs 💛

🫁 Cystic Fibrosis — Trained in infant physio and experienced with medication administration and managing food timing to support proper digestion and care

🧩 Autism — 5 years of occasional care for a now-almost-6-year-old with high support needs who is nonverbal. I focus on preferred sensory activities, practicing therapy strategies in a playful way, and creating a safe, calm, and supportive environment

Every child is unique, and I’m always learning how to meet them where they’re at with patience, curiosity, and compassion.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my all-time favourite nanny moments was during some quiet playroom time 📚 I was sitting on the floor reading my own book while my little one had some supervised independent play. Without saying a word, he picked out his own stack of books and plopped down beside me to read.

It felt like such a special win leading by example and helping spark a love for reading that he still has to this day 💛 Moments like that are the reason I love what I do.
