More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was an Au Pair for 2 years and worked with families of 3 or less kids for 2 years. The kids I have cared for are all between the ages of 4mo-13y. Boys and girls alike. I have 3 years worth of babysitting experience as well. I've also accumulated tons of experience caring for younger kids by being raised in a house where childcare was provided from.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
LOVE playgrounds! I enjoy going to a sports field to kick a ball around. I enjoy going to libraries, indoor play places as well as going for walks.
Inside activities I enjoy with kids are drawing/coloring, painting and making slime. I also enjoy reading books that kids find interesting, playing games and just exploring the different ways we can play with the toys we have available.
And at any time, in any surroundings I enjoy playing I Spy with kids. I find this particularly fun and helpful while driving with kids or waiting with kids but it's a great activity overall.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for a toddler with a developmental delay. It's not exactly special needs but I attended various types of therapy with him, did activities that mirror what he does in therapy and assisted him physically with climbing, walking, balancing, jumping and eating etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh dear, there are plenty favorite moments that come to mind.
I love all the silly moments when young toddlers are developing their sense of humor. The little boy I currently care for likes to wear bigger shoes and both him and I enjoy how silly it looks on his small feet, we laugh so much everyday.
My favorite moments with older toddlers and young preschoolers are when they're playing with their imaginations. And I love these moments because I can express my imagination too, we come up with wacky scenarios together and productive solutions.
With school aged kids, my favorite moment is letting a 7 year old direct me home from his school, and he did with also providing an alternative route! This was a favorite moment on that day because I revel in conversations about what kids are learning at this age and what they already know. Another favorite moment is drawing Pokemon for a scavenger hunt.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Sebrin A.
Hello! My name is Sebrin, and I’m currently a Biology and Public Health major at American University and a District Scholar. I have lived in D.C. for the last nine years and know my way around the city pretty well! As the eldest of four siblings, I have loved being around kids since a young age. Because of that, I’ve learned that patience comes easily to me. Fun fact: my name means “patience” in Arabic! I also have experience teaching students from pre-K through eighth grade. I maintain an organized schedule and use a calendar to plan every hour of my day. In addition, I have my driver’s license. I look forward to working with you!
Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Washington, DC: Alexandria J.
I'm 20 years old and have been working with kids since high school! I started babysitting an infant around 15 and have stuck with the family and the baby is now 5! This inspired me to pursue a technical degree in early childhood education where I then worked at a daycare with special needs children for over a year and am now pursuing a degree to become an education policy analyst/advisor. I love kids and believe their adequate development deserves the utmost protection and will advocate for that on a policy level.
