Hi! My name is Ireland Patterson and I’m a 20 year old Criminal Justice student at the Hickory Appalachian State campus, I plan to be a juvenile forensic investigator after I graduate. I have always had a genuine love for caring for and spending time with children. I have experience caring for toddlers from babysitting two young children alongside my mom, and I’ve also gained infant-care experience through regularly babysitting my niece since becoming an aunt. Growing up with a brother who has multiple intellectual and physical disabilities has also given me valuable experience, and understanding when caring for children with different needs.
