Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the past 10+ years I’ve worked with more than 12 wonderful families as a part-time and full-time nanny, newborn care specialist, and family assistant.

My roles have included taking care for newborns and infants, after-school care and homework help for elementary and middle-schoolers, and occasional care for teens. I’ve also spent two years as a behavioral aide for toddlers on the autism spectrum and have experience with twins, siblings up to 4 kids at once, and families who travel frequently

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love anything that combines fun with learning! Some favorites: sensory bins and tummy-time adventures with babies also science experiments and nature scavenger hunts with preschoolers, building forts and chapter-book read-alouds with school-age kids, and collaborative DIY projects (like stop-motion videos or tie-dye) with tweens and teens. I’m also big on music, dance parties, yoga for kids, and getting outside as much as possible

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a sense of safety and genuine connection. When a child knows—without a doubt—that they are seen, heard, and loved exactly as they are, everything else (learning, behavior, confidence, joy) flows naturally from there. My job is to be that steady, calm presence so kids can take risks, make mistakes, feel big feelings, and grow into themselves—while giving parents total peace of mind

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience supporting children with autism (ages 2–9), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, and giftedness. I spent two years as a behavioral therapist using ABA and play-based techniques, and I’ve worked with several families whose children have IEPs or 504 plans. I’m comfortable collaborating with therapists, implementing visual schedules or sensory diets, and adapting activities so every child feels successful and included

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my all-time favorites-
I was nannying a very shy 4-year-old boy who had never spoken at preschool. After months of patient, play-based trust-building at home (mostly involving dinosaurs and a lot of quiet parallel play), he suddenly started being more vocal at preschool. Moments like watching a child unlock something big because they finally felt safe, are why I do this
