I have babysat and house sat for many family friends and friends of friends. I’ve had years of experience with special needs and disabled children. I have volunteered at nursing homes, pet shelters, and church nurseries.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
STEM is something I am very passionate about and would love to spark some interest for it in your little one. I love fossils, dinosaurs, marine life, insects, biology and so much more. If your kiddo isn’t too into science and math, I also play a variety of different instruments and would love to being fine arts into their lives. My love for science and nature comes with loving to spend time outside with the children. Parks, nature walks, sports! I also love creative projects so painting, drawing, singing and dancing!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To be there for the kids and form a relationship with them and the family. Being involved in a child’s life when they’re young is so important to them. Growing up with these kids and giving them advice for life is all they need. The bond you create with a child is special.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kiddos with ADD, ADHD, Autism and more. I have Autism and Anxiety so I have learned the best way to communicate with others who have these special ways of talking. I love to show these kids what I have learned throughout the years how to overcome and understand their feelings and thoughts.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching my kids how to calm themselves down and be gentle and understand their emotions. Watching a child form a relationship with themselves and their emotions is a memory that stays with you forever.
