More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 25 years of professional childcare experience working with private families and caring for newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. My experience includes providing full-time and part-time care, establishing feeding and sleep routines, preparing meals, planning age-appropriate activities, assisting with children’s laundry and organization, providing transportation when needed, and maintaining consistent communication with parents. I have also supported first-time parents and families with multiple children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy keeping children active and engaged through age-appropriate activities such as reading, arts and crafts, sensory play, music, educational activities, outdoor play, walks, parks, libraries, and other child-friendly outings. I enjoy getting children out of the house and exploring whenever possible, while always using good judgment regarding weather and safety. During extreme heat, cold, or other unsafe weather conditions, I prefer engaging children in fun indoor activities rather than unnecessary outings, with their health, comfort, and safety always being my priority.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment where children can grow, learn, and feel secure. It is also important to build a trusting relationship with the parents through open communication, consistency, and respect for their parenting choices. Every child and family is different, so I believe a good nanny should be attentive, patient, adaptable, and always put the child’s well-being first.
My experience with special needs children...
Throughout my 25+ years as a professional nanny, I have not had a position specifically caring for a child with special needs. While I understand that infant care may share many of the same basic routines, I recognize that as children grow, their individual developmental, behavioral, communication, or medical needs may require more specialized knowledge and experience. I am always willing to learn and follow a family’s guidance, but I believe in being transparent about my professional experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
when baby reaches new milestone, and parents sees it for a first time.
