Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have interned in two classrooms. The first internship was in a first grade classroom where I acted as a teacher's assistant. The second was just a few months ago when I was interning in a private elementary school in France where I worked with children ranging from the ages of 3 to 11. I have also volunteered as a grade school and middle school tutor for the past year and a half.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids out to enjoy nature whether that means going to the park, going to the beach or going on a walk. Inside, I think reading together, playing board games, card games, as well as arts and crafts are all really fun.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger sister has down syndrome and I am very close with her. I have babysat her countless times and often act as a backup for anything that my parents may need help with.
