I think caring about their feelings matters the most. I hate putting a kid in timeout for having a melt down or doing something bad. So I first ask them what’s wrong to see if I can fix the situation.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience with an autistic kid, but other than that not much. But I know a lot about special needs so if you have a kid with special needs don’t be scared to reach out we can figure this out!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I used to babysit the 4 and 5 year old the would always run up to me when I got there and the would never call me Izzy they would always say babysitter which I thought was the cutest thing in the world.
