More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for both children and animals, which has helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and adaptability. I often babysit for coworkers and family members, where I supervise children of various ages, assist with homework, prepare meals, and create engaging activities to keep them entertained. Additionally, I have cared for pets, including feeding, walking, and ensuring their overall well-being. Balancing the needs of both children and animals has taught me patience, problem-solving, and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for everyone under my care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging in creative and active activities with both children and animals. With children, I love reading stories, doing arts and crafts, playing outdoor games, and helping with fun educational activities like puzzles or science experiments. When it comes to animals, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, and ensuring they get plenty of exercise and affection. Whether it’s organizing a scavenger hunt for kids or teaching a dog new tricks, I enjoy creating meaningful and fun experiences that foster connection and joy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. It’s about building trust, not only with the children but also with their families, and ensuring that their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met. Being a nanny means fostering creativity, encouraging learning, and providing consistent care while also being adaptable to each child’s unique personality and needs. It’s more than a job—it’s about being a positive role model and a dependable presence in a child’s life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal experience caring for special needs children, as my nephew has special needs and is nonverbal. Through spending time with him, I’ve learned the importance of patience, understanding, and finding alternative ways to communicate, such as using gestures, visual cues, or other forms of nonverbal communication. I enjoy engaging him in activities that suit his interests and abilities, ensuring he feels included and supported. This experience has taught me to be more empathetic and adaptable while fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children with unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I helped a child conquer their fear of trying something new. We were at the park, and they were hesitant to go down the big slide. I encouraged them gently, climbed up with them, and showed them how fun it could be. After a few tries, they were sliding down confidently, laughing, and even racing me to the top for another turn. Seeing their excitement and pride in overcoming their fear reminded me how rewarding it is to help children grow and build confidence in themselves.
