More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at my local church daycare, where I took care of young kids during Sunday service and events. I also did volunteer work with special needs kids ages 10-17. As well as nanny/babysitting jobs here and there over the last 3-4 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids out in nature, and teaching them about plants and animals. I enjoy doing art projects, and making opportunities for them to express their creativity. I also enjoy an occasional dance party, or some karaoke. My favorite activity is definitely connecting and talking to the children I am caring for, I enjoy hearing how school was, and what they did that day. I like to ask questions, and create a judgement free relationship, so the kids feel comfortable and confident talking to me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me is the connection I have with the child/children. Growing up I had multiple babysitters/nannies that I was not fond of, until my mom found Jesica. She was the greatest nanny, she made me feel comfortable, she helped me become more social, and she created a safe space for me to talk. I would like to be a Jesica for your family.
My experience with special needs children...
I did a year of volunteer work for my old elementary school which involved looking after, tutoring, and caring for special needs children. Some were autistic (all levels of the spectrum), some had down syndrome, as well as a few other special needs.
