More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been surrounded by children my entire life, whether with friends or family. I’ve helped raise some of my nieces and nephews and have always been involved in their lives. During my volunteer work at an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico, I supported children with their schoolwork, taught them English, and introduced them to chess. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how to connect with and care for children.

I love helping kids express themselves through art, teaching them chess, and encouraging curiosity by exploring their interests and asking questions. I also enjoy involving kids in cooking and baking, turning everyday tasks into fun learning opportunities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny for me is creating a positive and enriching environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. I also believe in helping children become more mindful and understanding of others while ensuring they know I am mindful and understanding of them. I treat every child with respect and care, fostering a relationship built on trust and mutual understanding. By creating this foundation, I hope to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in their daily lives.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don’t have professional experience with special needs children, I was a teacher assistant in special needs classrooms during middle and high school. I volunteered during my free periods to spend time with the students, offering companionship and being a friend. This experience gave me a deeper appreciation for building patience, understanding, and meaningful connections.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was at the orphanage in Tijuana. The girls were painting their nails, and I joined in, asking them to paint mine. They laughed and giggled but agreed. A shy boy then asked if he could get his nails painted too, and the girls welcomed him. When the other boys laughed at us, I asked why and challenged their thinking by saying, ‘Where does it say only girls can get their nails painted?’ They understood and stopped laughing. It was a beautiful moment of teaching acceptance and mindfulness.
