I am a pediatric RN who is looking for a better work life balance. I worked as in I home caregiver for children with developmental disabilities to put myself through Nursing School, and currently an taking a break from my work at Mary Bridge Children's hospital.
I am looking for a family for whom perhaps I could transition out of bedside nursing. While I have thoroughly e joyed my time at a pediatric nurse, the industry has simply worn me out, and while I understand the position is not nursing based, I am sure my experience is transferrable.
My nursing license is active, and I specialized in emergency medicine, bringing my family and yours some peace of mine when it comes to the care of the little ones.
I am also married, live in Olympia, and have a 6 year old son of my own, so the mother touch is there too. I have a license to drive and my own vehicle, although it is a small commuter car, and a larger vehicle would need to be available for use if the position demands it.

I left my corporate job to soak up as much time with my baby as possible and realized caring for children is something that I genuinely enjoy doing! My son was EBF so I understand how precious a mothers milk is and how to properly handle/prepare for your little babe. In previous jobs I was held accountable to maintain cleanliness of a home while also preparing meals from scratch as the child required a gluten free diet due to an ongoing medical condition. I am extremely reliable, attentive and would prefer hands on play time to engage with a child versus just sticking them in front of a tv. I prefer to take a gentle parenting approach which allows me to understand a child's likes vs dislikes while creating a closer bond between the child and myself. I do not believe in physical punishment as verbally talking out what was wrong, what the expectation is and what they can do next time is more effective while creating a loving and nurturing environment instead of creating fear. I love going outdoors and am all for helping with transportation requests (clean driving record, reliable vehicle with full insurance coverage). I am open to providing assistance around the home if discussed in advance as well as meal prep. Open to care in my home, I live in a newer home in a gated development with fenced backyard, it is baby proof due to having a baby of my own. All the families I have ever cared for have become family. It has been bittersweet parting ways with some of the kiddos but they still FaceTime me and we continue to keep in touch! I'm looking to become apart of the perfect family and really just help some parents out with an honest and genuine nanny that will treat their kids as if they were my own!
