I recently previously worked for a nonprofit organization serving low-income housing communities, where I ran an after-school program for 10+ children ages 5–12. I planned and supervised educational activities, arts and crafts, and sports, while ensuring a safe, structured, and positive environment. This role strengthened my skills in child supervision, organization, patience, and engagement.

enjoy engaging children in creative and active activities such as arts and crafts, drawing and coloring, reading together, and helping with homework or learning games. I also like organizing outdoor play, sports, and group games that encourage teamwork and movement. I enjoy planning activities that are both fun and educational, while making sure kids feel supported, safe, and included.

The most important part of being a nanny is making kids feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, while being someone they can trust and have fun with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child very seriously informed me that I was “doing bedtime wrong” and proceeded to demonstrate the correct way to tuck in a stuffed animal, complete with a lecture on blanket alignment and emotional support. I was thanked for “trying my best,” and it still makes me laugh how confidently kids take charge.
