A little bit about me

I've adored working with kids of all ages since I was one myself! I always swore my younger brother was "my baby." I currently work as a martial arts coach, a special-education and behavioral paraprofessional in an elementary school, and a nanny! I volunteer at my local library with the Stay-on-Track program, as well as at a community youth event center! I have experience working with kids of every age, from newborns to my peers! I am AHA CPR and First Aid certified as a medical provider. I am a student at Weber State University as a Social Work major with an emphasis in Juvenile Justice, and a minor in ASL and a minor in Spanish. I am incredibly passionate about working with kids. When nannying, I love to incorporate drills disguised as games to train physical development, academic skills, and emotional growth. I love being outside, so I enjoy walks, hikes, bike rides, playing at the park, playing with chalk, and swimming! I also love adventures, which usually ends up being running errands, grocery shopping, or going to youth events! I absolutely love to read to littles and practice academic skills, or life skills, like cooking and baking!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping kids grow and develop in fun and creative environments! I am also passionate about giving parents the space to be more than just a parent. While I don't have any littles of my own yet, I deeply empathize! You guys are working so hard and absolutely don't get enough credit! I hope to help parents be the happiest and most fulfilled they can be. It truly does take a village.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment lately has been when my sweet 4-year-old is sleepy. He's a very kind, funny, and excited kid, but he is so lovey and cuddly when he gets tired. He loves to be carried and always wants a hug. It absolutely warms my heart!
While this may not be a specific moment, I have been getting incredibly sentimental as I have been blessed with the opportunity to watch a baby grow up. He was barely crawling when I first met him, but now he is standing up and almost talking and walking! He had his first birthday, and I couldn't be more excited to see him grow.
