I’m currently in the program of education at the Da Vinci Science Center! Since I am in education I work with children from all ages I plan my own lesson and I get to teach these amazing students!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m not too picky i love playing sports with the children going outside doing some running around, tag, park, riding bikes. You get the idea, I’m just as good inside watch a movie, bake treats, I can show them some easy to clean science experiments!
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me the most important part is creating a bond, nobody likes being watched by a complete stranger. I tend to try and create a bond as soon as I meet them and hopefully by the next visit they are completely comfortable with me
My experience with special needs children...
I have a cousin that is special needs and I learned from a very young age how to make him feel loved and not any different, he never knew his own strength and was very rough but I still taught him what was right and wrong. In middle school I would go to the special children classroom to help the teachers I was faced with 10-15 kids who all had different personalities and I loved every minute with them I learned how they like to play games how they would do this dance I would go again any time
The most important part about being a nanny...
baking! It’s always something special when we get to the bond where we can bake together, always a little messy but always fun, I never had an experience where it wasn’t fun and the kids love eating the treats after!
