More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
After completing the Avila Beach Junior Lifeguards program, I served as an AID for the Oceano State Beach Junior Lifeguards program. During these five weeks, I became a parental figure for all of the children. For many, the ocean was a scary place full of uncertain dangers, and one of my favorite jobs, was helping them overcome this completely justified fear. I assisted them in beach training, and served as a guide on long beach runs through the dunes. My time during the five weeks, was not only rewarding but so fulfilling. Having a positive impact on the children's lives, made me so happy and served as the impetus for my passion of Early Childhood Development.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Before becoming a nanny, the most imperative thing to consider is what being a nanny really means. The most important and significant years for a child regarding their development occur between birth and age five. Understanding this, acting as a nanny is much more than simply being present in a child's life. For that child you must provide love, support, respect, understanding, and compassion. Expressing all of these emotions and feelings requires proactivity. Problems may arise, the child may need further assistance, and therefore, being proactive and demonstrating good judgement are very essential and critical.
