Hi my name is Jacob Merwin! I love to longboard, sing, dance, write music, poetry, draw, write in my journal, play computer games, paint, read and most anything else outdoors. I’m very expressive and being creative helps me to stay open with myself and the world around me. I absolutely love to work with children. I’m emotionally intelligent, creating an open and safe atmosphere where children feel comfortable enough to be themselves. I believe children’s development is the most important role that any adult can play in life. I took 3 years of Child Development. My teacher said I excelled and was one of the best she had seen with children. I care immensely, and I am a protector by default. I look forward to beginning this new journey in my life, doing what I am passionate about instead of settling for a regular job.

Chalking, swimming, hiking, skipping rocks, painting, drawing, coloring, painting nails or makeup (gender fluid, if nothing else, just to be involved), dancing, role-play/acting, tag, hide and seek, watching movies, baking cakes, brownies, cookies, putting together puzzles, playing cards, board games and an absolute favorite is going to the park.

The most important thing about being a nanny is the development of the child. I believe there’s nothing more important then allowing the children to feel safe and comfortable in their own skin.
