A little bit about me

My name is Jade and I’m 22 years old. I have 7 years of child care experience and I’ve worked in a few homes with multiple children. I also use to have a job working as a swim instructor for ages 6 months - 8 years old. I was a professional dancer growing up, dancing at the movement box dance studio, and from there as I got older I started to assist in dance classes For the younger kids! I just recently had a baby on December 1st and just coming out of maternity leave. I enjoy painting and drawing on my free time but mostly I enjoy hanging out with my son! And I love working with kids because being able to have an impact on someone else’s child, and to see there growth is something that I’ve always been passionate about.

I’ve worked with my niece who is 4 years old now but has cerebral palsy. I also have a cousin who has Down syndrome who I’ve worked with in the past.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the kids I was watching she was 4 years old and loved to swing but couldn’t pump her legs enough to do it on her own. It was one of her goals she wanted to accomplish by the end of the summer (I let all the kids write out goals they wanted to achieve by the end of our time together and rewarded them when they accomplished any of there goals).So everyday in the summer I worked with her on pumping her legs and soon enough she accomplished it and she tells me “I couldn’t do it without you” and it made me feel like I accomplished a goal as well.
