I have been a preschool teacher for about 3 years now. During which I climbed the ladder from general support, to infant support, infant assistant, 2-year-old lead, and finally 3-year-old lead! I love what I do and have found great purpose in it!!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a thorough enjoyer of outdoor play!! There is no better way to learn about the world around you than really feeling it and exploring what it has to offer. No matter the activity, creating an immersive sensory experience is always my goal and makes it more fun along the way!!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is creating a secure, loving space for children when their grown-ups cannot be around. Making sure that these little ones feel as safe as possible is a huge part of what we do. Being able to create a great bond in a fun, exciting environment is top priority.
My experience with special needs children...
I have limited experience with special needs children. No formal training, just experience with past preschool students diagnosed with autism or attention disorders.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was getting to see the little girl I had such a great bond with turn one!! We had spent so much fun time together since she was 3 months old and it made me realize what a treasure and honor it was to watch her grown and get to know her!! Truly an emotional and lovely moment.
