I have worked for two companies in their child care department ranging from children of the ages 1/m-12 years old. I have also worked along side teachers as a preschool assistant teacher and picked up many skills and knowledge for what it takes to help a child sprout!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going for walks, trips to the park, creating fun and educational games to keep them stimulated. I like teaching, whether it were about school, cooking, etc. I have the energy and patience to keep up with anyone/anything, and encourage not only children but myself the importance of staying active, educated, and mannered.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe one of the most important parts of being a Nanny is understanding the child and respecting theirs and their families boundaries. Taking the time to to get to know one another and feel comfortable and safe without question and meeting everyone expectations/adapting to the environment.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a little brother the age 5, he was just last year confirmed to have autism, my family and I always treated him as best as we knew without confirmation and have plenty experience now with going about certain situations. I dont see him any different than before and i dont see why anyone would going about any other child, I am a very calm and collective individual and understand and can pick up things others may look past. I understand the importance of patience, and how to go about any situation before acting too fast.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memories with the children i've nannied always came from the special moments and bonds we created, whilst understanding each other. Whether it be going swimming, trips to the zoo or aquarium, walks and trips to the park, birthday parties, and karaoke in the car!
