One of the kids I cared for for years had special needs. Homework was a struggle and he always seemed to kick some dust up on the bus, but other than that he was the sweetest most kind little boy I ever met. He had his outbursts, but I was always able to calm him quickly by just being there and being patient.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was each time I would get my kiddos off the bus. They would dart to hug me and show off whatever they made in school and sometimes they'd even make something for me!

I entered college in 1972 and studied to be a middle school teacher. I did my student teaching at Michigan State University.
