The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a nanny is the relationship you build with the kids and their parent/guardian as well. If you enjoy taking care of the child then they will most likely correspond and it taking care of them won't feel like work but more of a enjoying spending time with them. If this is the case parents will see that and feel comfortable in knowing that their child not only has a babysitter but someone who cares about their child outside of the work space and wants to see them safe and succeed in school and their extra curriculars. It's important to also be a good example because if a babysitter is spending a large amount of time with the child it is important that the babysitter/nanny shows how to act in certain situations which children will pick up behaviors they frequently observe.

I do not have any experience with children with special needs but I am willing to learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The three year old I babysat and I were watching cartoons on the television when she decided to get up and throw a bin of toys we had just cleaned up together on the ground. I shook my head and it was frustrating in the moment but now that I look back at it it makes me laugh. Kids will be kids.
