More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Over the past 2 decades I've worked with special needs children and animals. We experienced great therapeutic remedies together with animals, horse therapy and petting zoos. I have worked as a freelance advocate and worked with children ages 2 -12 with basic learning and special needs children with social anxiety, learning disabilities or language barriers. I love seeing the positive changes occur. There are no words that can describe that joy.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outside, weather permitting. I like to engage in musical and educational game interactions with kids of all ages. Going to parks and petting zoos, going to movies, especially during the summer when it's too hot to play outside and the air quality tends to get horrible.
They won't be stuck in the house going wild or being bored. They always seem to be so thrilled to see their favorite characters on the big screen chomping on popcorn 😂

The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience and empathy seem to be key 2 of several ingredients to have led to my success with children. They can not always verbally express things so it's impertinent to be open and aware at all times. Being fun and lighthearted is also key because we aren't there to make great memories. We all have babysitter or nanny memories 😃
I want to get my CPR and first aid certifications renewed because it's been so long and have never had to use either, thank God 💜🙏

My experience with special needs children...
I really find working with special needs children to be so rewarding. They are each so different and special in their own way. It takes a lot of patience and smiling is so important, they are exceptionally empathic.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are too many to pick just one. Each time I sit I get another one. Kids are just ... Amazing and unfiltered .

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Phoenix, AZ: Kyla B.
Hello! My name is Kyla, and I’m a reliable, nurturing caregiver with a genuine passion for working with children. As the oldest of 15 grandchildren, caring for kids has always been second nature to me, and I’ve supported many families through babysitting for relatives and close friends. I’ve also been involved in my church’s children’s program since age 16, creating a safe and engaging environment for kids to learn and grow.
In addition, I completed a semester at Arizona State University’s Child Development Center, working with children ages 3–5. Most recently, I’ve worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting children with autism ages 2–7, strengthening my patience and ability to provide individualized care. I’m committed to creating a positive, safe, and fun environment where children feel supported and families feel confident.
