The most important part about being a nanny...

Being in communication with the parents at all times. I want to make sure that I am always an asset to the family that I am helping. I want to make sure that even when they aren’t around they feel and see that they are apart of their child’s every day routine as much as possible. It takes a village to raise these little humans and I just want to be another tool in your tool belt when it comes to them.

My experience with special needs children...

I had a special needs sibling who I raised and I volunteered a lot at her school (Washington Center) where I learned a few different skills. Mostly self-taught, no actual training in special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having a child who was non-verbal and didn’t like to eat many things. She was limited for awhile to only 2 meals due to her not liking the texture of most foods. After working with her for 3 months every day after school while her mom and dad worked, she begin to try new foods with me. Her parents were very grateful and I was just ecstatic to even be apart of her growth as a little human!
