"Jameeliyah has been amazing for our family. She has a fun and calming energy about her. She made myself and my family (especially my son!) feel comfortable. My son was always excited to see her, and thought every car we saw was Meme's.
Under her care, my son learned the words for colors, common objects, and animals. He also learned as much as he could about patience and sharing by watching her model those things. Jameeliyah was able to teach him while making it fun.
Jameeliyah also has lots of tips and tricks on how to deal with the more challenging parts of babies, i.e. teething, big feelings. She is very patient with anything my son can throw at her.
I recommend Jameeliyah for any family looking for a smart, patient, kind and caring caregiver for their little ones. If I have another child she will be the first person I call."

"As a colleague and collaborator, Jameeliyah brought her intelligence and creativity to her work. She’s passionate and smart which allows her to think fully through any task asked of her.
Jameeliyah also brings her life experience and perspective to her work. Having navigated many different environments growing up, Jameeliyah’s emotional intelligence benefitted from her exposure. She works hard to understand everyone she works with. Her early exposure to raising children through her mother’s participation as a foster parent deepened Jameeliyah’s unique understanding of children.
Jameeliyah’s formal training in psychology and experience as a therapist is more like a foundation than icing on the cake. She truly sets the example and standard for all care takers. "

"Although it was just a few last minute babysitting jobs, she was a lifesaver. I have known Jameeliyah for years and she is the only person outside of my family that I would trust with my kids."

"I met Jameeliyah while working as a behavior specialist for a Foster Care agency. She is a great co-worker as she was knowledgeable, eager to learn and help when asked, and overall a good friend. We have been friends since the day we met and continue to share personally and professionally as she remains my go to person when needing to process difficult cases. "

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a full time nanny for 7 years in Miami, Braselton and Alpharetta. I provided family support and household management skills during this time. Specifically with children, I enjoy teaching basics for school preparedness as well as self sufficiency and emotional regulation.
Prior to working as a nanny, I spent 10 years working as a family therapist. I have a masters degree in psychology and use my knowledge of development to provide family specific care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring nature with children. I've gone to the beach, museums, and aquariums with children. I love the idea of learning in the community as well as just singing songs and doing crafts and fashion shows at home. I have been in charge of educating and entertaining children with limited resources during the pandemic.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is the connection with families. I enjoy watching newborns become toddlers and then children. The wonder of learning language and about the world around them is beautiful. I am equally passionate about improving the lives of families in this world. By providing support to parents, I have enjoyed increasing the amount of fun time in families.
My experience with special needs children...
I have two psychology degrees and before working as a nanny, I was a child and family therapist to children with identified special needs. I am comfortable with most special needs and eager to learn more about family needs. It has been important as a nanny to use the family knowledge of their needs to inform my care of the children I work with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love sharing birthdays and celebrating with the families for whom I work. There was a dad who called and he and I worked with the children to surprise the mother with a weekend away. She had no clue and it was so hard for all of us to keep it secret. Especially the little ones. Being a part of this special moment was amazing.
