More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've been working in childcare for many years. I started working in daycares and afterschool programs, then I went on to be a summer camp counselor and a nanny. I worked as a nanny throughout my college years. I worked for two local families, each for multiple years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being very active with kiddos. In the past, I've taken kids to local parks daily, along with playing in the backyard for a large portion of the day. I've also taken kids hiking, mountain biking, and nature walks. I also really enjoy taking kids for "special treats" that are allowed by parents. These things consist of trips to museums or occasional ice cream/boba trips!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is truly understanding the amount of impact you have on children and their families. Kiddos are so absorbent and bright, and they deserve your full attention and respect. This is the most fulfilling and enjoyable line of work, and that correlates with a huge amount of responsibility. This is something I truly believe, and I maintain very thorough communication with parents to ensure my impact is as positive as possible!
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience with special needs children. My experience started with babysitting special needs children in my family, and extended to caring for these amazing kiddos within certain daycares. I am very open to working with special needs children. Like all children, they're so unique, so I'd be very open with learning what works best for any given child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It's so difficult to choose a single "favorite" nannying moment after all these years. Here are a few:
- Teaching a very bright young girl long-division (she was so proud to learn this a whole grade early, and that brought me so much joy).
- Taking a 1.5 year old to a "dinosaur museum". Him and I both really love dinosaurs, and he was truly in awe, "Those are BIG teeth Ms. Jamie"
- Mountain biking with a 13 year old and his best friend. It was so fun to get out together and enjoy the beautiful Montana summer days doing something we all loved! We were all smiles that day!

Babysitter Available in Bend, OR: Harlie W.
Hi! My name is Harlie and I am very experienced in childcare! I usually DSP during the school year and a little during the summer, but would love extra jobs babysitting or being a nanny! I also work part time at summer camps with kids and support children who have disabilities and encourage as much inclusion as possible! Throughout the summer I work with a wide variety of ages and have cared for infants in the past as well. I’ve grown up with 4 younger sisters who taught me a lot about the importance of development in caring for kids as each are far apart in age. As I have two other jobs this summer I am looking for flexibility in scheduling and availability while also committing to those jobs! I would love to meet any families or parents interested to see if I’d be a great fit!

Babysitter Available in Bend, OR: Joselle L.
Hello! My name is Josee. I was born and raised here in Bend! I am currently home for the summer from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, where I am a psychology major working toward my goal of becoming a Mental Health Counselor. I have extensive experience working with kids as a former babysitter, camp counselor, and after-school care provider for Parks and Rec. While group activities are fun, I truly love spending one-on-one time with kiddos because it allows me to build meaningful connections. I love to go exploring and find new spots in nature, but I also enjoy creating fun arts and crafts projects, reading together, and keeping your little ones engaged at home!
