I’ve worked in a daycare over the summer when I was 16-18 during summer break. I have experience with infants also toddlers. I have 4 younger siblings that I partake in their upbringing. I’ve helped multiple relatives while there working and/or running errands!

The most important part of being a nanny In my opinion is building trust and genuine love. I feel it’s important for a child to feel secure and loved with you in order for them to be their self to express who they are. Kids can be a lot at time but being patient and calm with them helps them develop control over there emotions and/or actions!

I was taking care of this sweet 5 year old girl name Emmy, for 7 months. We grew pretty close over the little time! Usually I’ll put her down before her mother came home but one night she couldn’t sleep so I let her stay up and watch SpongeBob SquarePants (her favorite show) lol. Her mother came home which meant it was my time to go, once she figured I was leaving she cried it surprised me because that had never happened to me before. She asked me to stay and I explained to her I couldn’t, she continued to cry so her mother asked if I could stay just until she went to sleep I agreed! We snuggled up on the couch and watched SpongeBob, and we both ended up going to sleep. They recently moved to Atlanta and I still keep in contact with my Emmy! She’s currently 6 years old and on her way to first grade!!
