Hello! I'm Jasmine, and I am a recent Psychology graduate from Western Washington University, with an emphasis on child psychological development. I have a strong passion for helping children achieve their goals, and would love to work in your household!

I spent six months working at daycare centers partnered with The Boys and Girls Club of Whatcom County, with a majority of my experience being working with infants aged four to twelve months. I helped my co-teacher develop lesson plans for our classroom, and frequently subbed in for my coworkers in their toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a volunteer for Girls on the Run, an elementary-aged summer camp for young girls focused on making friends and having fun while moving our bodies! I had so much fun creating with, encouraging, and guiding such kindhearted youth and would love to bring the same energy to a family who needs it.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite is arts and crafts! The sensory experience can be so exciting for kids, and the best part is seeing the happiness when they show their art to others.

I also enjoy participating in play-pretend, outdoor games and activities, reading together, and even tutoring elementary aged kids, if requested of me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I not only strive to take care of basic needs, but to also be a positive role model for any child in my care. I follow the children's lead while guiding them to make safe and kind choices. Childhood is a delicate time of wonder and curiosity, and I aim to nurture those qualities in every child.

My experience with special needs children...

My previous job required me to provide extra assistance to our special needs children including but not limited to kids with cerebral palsy, ASD, and dysphagia. This would include diapering, appropriate seizure response, preparing beverages with thickener, and using calming techniques all requested by parents to be provided in their care.
