Caregiving through volunteer opportunities during past summers. I participated in a “Vacation Bible School” program held by my church; I was a leader of a kids’ group every summer since I was 14.
I have experience in being a teacher's aid for preschoolers during high school for community service hours.
Growing up, I used to babysit my cousins as well as my sister when she was a newborn very often.
Furthermore, more recently, I babysat a 5 year old daughter and her 9 year old brother. The mom and her kids moved out of state however, so I don’t take care of them anymore.

Indoor activities that I love doing with kids are reading with them, watching shows, and making snacks with them!
Outdoor activities that I’d love doing with kids are taking them to the beach, going to a museum, and taking them to the park. Being outdoors is very crucial to children and I think it’s important that they get to experience that as much as possible.

The most important part about being a nanny is that the one(s) that are being cared for are happy as much as possible and are provided space for growth in every way.

A couple of my favorites was this one time, I was taking care of the one year old twins I occasionally look after now, and I was feeding them raspberries. I only give them 5 at a time because I’m afraid too much at a time is too overwhelming. However whenever they finish their berries, I’ll always ask them if they want more, and they’re almost always SO excited to ask me for me more.
Another time was when I asked the boy twin to walk over and give his sister her silly cup with water. Not only did he do what he was told, but he also gave her a hug! :,) Despite not being able to coherently speak, I was able to see how much progress these kids were making in being able to understand their surroundings!
These kinds of moments are especially the kind that remind me that these kids are really growing and learning and it’s so beautiful to see!
