I've worked in both a daycare setting (3 years) and Head Start program(6years). I've successfully managed classes at max ratio aged from birth to 8 years. A majority of my experience is with children 18m to 5y.

My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with several children on the Autism Spectrum successfully using the strategies already implemented by therapies they were already using as well as by building a meaningful relationship with the children to learn their special interests and meet them where they were to be able to gain an understanding of how to best help the thrive and grow. I find working with children on the spectrum to be quite rewarding.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite teaching moment was watching my roommates 2 year old use conscious discipline's methods to self regulate and use her words to Express what she needed and how she was feeling.
