My name is Jay (they/them). I currently work as an instructional assistant in a first grade classroom at a local school and feel passionately about learning. My background is in theatre, so storytelling, music, and stretching imagination muscles are a specialty of mine, and I love to engage with kids about their interests and talents.

In addition to working with elementary school children daily, I grew up in a home with a severely disabled younger sibling, so while I am not certified, I am very familiar with health and safety as it applies to children. I am also comfortable in the kitchen and have a fair amount of skill preparing meals.
