Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Lots of outdoor play! Love to hang out at the splash pads or the swimming pools if mom and dad are comfortable. Love to jump on the trampoline or do obstacle courses. I also love being creative and doing chalk or painting. I also enjoy having kids involved in everyday tasks/activities such as prepping meals, cleaning, organizing, etc especially if they are eager to join in on a task.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a registered behavioral therapist for kids with autism ages 3-7. I enjoy working with other BT's and honoring your child's treatment plan if they have one. I feel communication and connection is the most important for a child's sense of dignity and belonging and love modifying tasks or games for all kids to be involved.
