Hi! I'm Jayne! I'm 22 and currently a student at Stan State. I earned my associate's degree from MJC and have been a nanny for 6 years! I've cared for children of all ages, and for the past year, I've worked full-time with twins since they were newborns. I also have experience in ABA, helping me support children with different personalities, needs, and learning styles.

I know how hard it is to trust someone with your little ones, and I don't take that lightly! Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my five years as a nanny, where I cared for children ranging from toddlers to school-age kids. In my most recent position, I’ve worked full-time with a family of three children and two of them being twins I’ve watched since they were born! My other family I work for has 1 little girl who is about to be 4 and I’ve been with them since she was 6 months old!
I also have experience working with children with developmental delays, including teaching sign language to a 2-year-old to aid in communication. Additionally, I’ve worked as a behavioral technician, applying ABA therapy techniques to support children’s growth and behavior development.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a wide variety of activities with children, from outdoor adventures like trips to the park and nature walks to indoor crafts and games that spark creativity. I love reading books and encouraging imaginative play, as well as engaging in educational activities like puzzles or games that help with cognitive development. I also enjoy taking the kids on outings to museums or libraries, fostering both learning and fun. Watching them grow and develop through these activities is incredibly rewarding!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with special needs children, particularly through my role as a behavioral technician where I applied ABA therapy techniques. This allowed me to work closely with children with autism and other developmental delays, helping them with communication, social skills, and behavioral development. I’ve also worked with children who have speech delays, including teaching sign language to a 2-year-old to help her communicate more effectively with her family. My approach is always patient, supportive, and tailored to each child’s unique needs, fostering an environment where they feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when the little girl I work with, who is usually determined to stay awake with her brother, finally relaxed and cuddled right onto my chest. As I sang her to sleep, she drifted off peacefully, and it was such a precious, heartwarming moment. It’s moments like these that make being a nanny so special.
